The Rascals are one of the most underrated and underappreciated bands of the 60's era. Within the brief period of 1966-1969, they produced a string of classic hit singles and seven albums of incredible,timeless music. They were also notoriously revered as one of the most exciting and spectacular live bands of the day.Although they sold millions upon millions of records and are in The Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame, precious little has been written about the group since then. But now guitarist Gene Cornish offers up his perspective of those years when the Rascals were "Groovin' " as one of America's most well-known recording and touring groups .The rise to fame is described with excitement and promise. Five years of success and acclaim eventually gave way to dissension among it's ranks, resulting in the devastating break up of The Rascals. The seventies were spent forming and launching various bands with the hope of reclaiming success.But by 1980, hit records,homes and luxury cars were lost to a descent into a decades-long period of failed promise and outright despair.
